Did you hear the song in the title?

Did you sing the song when you read the title of this blog? "Theres a story, of a lovely lady... Thats the way we all became the Blackburn Bunch!" Of course, we are not three boys and three girls and THEN became a family, but you get the pun.
When I try to go to any public establishment with all four of the kids by myself, I am quickly reminded that we are a BUNCH! I always refer to them as my Gaggle of Kids (like a gaggle of geese!)

We ventured to McD's for dinner tonight. Ben is at work until 10pm and Chandler and Kaylee had some energy to burn. It has been pretty cold for the last couple of days and some freezing drizzle outside. So we went to play and eat and everyone was soooo good that they got ice cream cones. Keira wanted more - "unt ice ceam, unt ice ceam, unt ice ceam" She is persistant! But she didnt win, one was enough for that tubby kid! Then I came home and threw the girls in bed and Chandler let me win a game of Checkers. Then he went to bed and now it is time for some Mommy Down Time. ... a whole 15 minutes worth... until I go get Chayse up and nurse her one more time before I head off to bed myself.

I put my actual day into thoughts or words and truly think about what I have done today and it can overwhelm me. But when people ask "How do you do it with four kids?" I am always like "What do you mean? How do you live with NO KIDS???" I do have to stop and remind myself to Live In the Moment. Enjoy this moment NOW because they fly by too fast. Those boo-boos wont always heal with my magic kisses and my lap may not be the best seat in the house one day. Yes, sometimes I want to sit by myself, but those days will come and I will wish for these days back. When the oldest is 8 years old, it makes me realize he is halfway to 16 and I am halfway to being the dumbest mom in the universe! Better enjoy my intellect now because in his eyes, I am losing it fast!

Well, here is a way to enjoy life. Keira is one heck of a little dancer. Music certainly gets her moving! She is sooo funny. You can see her spin around and get so dizzy that she has to sit a moment!

Aww! How cute! I love your blog, Its nice to hear stories about your family. Being so far away sure does make it hard, this is a fantastic way to stay close. You may just inspire me to do the same, I will defiantly enjoy stopping by to read. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your family!
